 It's the holiday season and we know everyone's gonna be busy but we do hope you will still squeeze in some time to scrap this last sketch of the year. And from all of us at Inspired Blueprints...

 

  

Sketch # 38

I know everyone is swamped with holiday preparations .... cooking, shopping, decorating, planning, wrapping ... it's such a busy time of year !! So why not take a break and check out the latest Sketch !! This is a fun sketch for smaller photos and makes great use of white space.

Our guest designer this month is the lovely Naoko Okada from Japan ...

First of all, I am very honored, and will like to thank you
for inviting myself to "Inspired Blueprints" as guest designer.
I currently live in Japan with my beloved husband and with my
two sons (4 yrs and 2 yrs old). I started to scrapbooking when
my first son was born 4 years ago. I happened to see the scrapbooking
in a bookstore, and that was how I started. 4 years have passed since then,
and now scrapbooking has become very important part of my life.
Scrapbooking has also given me an opportunity to meet with
special friends, and have given me very good hobby of taking pictures
with my camera.  Taking pictures is now one of my best hobby
as well as scrapbooking.
My husband and my sons are my primary models for scrapbooking.
My boys will show many expressions each day. But it is also very difficult
to take good pictures of them as they are always running from
one place to another. When pictures are printed out,  I can instantly
recall my boys at that time.
My albums are full of my family memories!!

Sketch 37

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends !! Now comes the craziness of the holiday preparations. So, take a break from the hectic pace and enjoy our latest sketch !! Sketch 37 is a great multi-photo sketch and can be interpreted MANY ways, as you will see !!!

To help inspire us is our very talented guest designer Celeste Smith, from Connecticut !!

I live in Connecticut with my wonderful husband of ten years, Terry and our two cute boys, Adam and Sam. They are my primary scrapping subjects and my sometimes unwilling models. Scrapbooking is my creative outlet. As a full-time competitive analyst at a large insurance company, my days are filled with details and numbers. My evenings are filled with patterns, color and design. A real stress reliever! My style has been consistently clean and graphic with a bit of funkiness thrown in for good measure. I currently design for KI Memories, October Afternoon, Pebbles, Freehand Scraps and Write.Click.Scrapbook. I absolutely adore sketches and I was thrilled to participate her at Inspired Blueprints!

Celeste designed a great layout with the sketch and since she creates 8.5 x 11 layouts she has a great tip on how to convert a 12 x 12 sketch to accommodate an 8.5 x 11 page : "To converted the sketch to an 8.5 x 11, all I did was open the sketch in Photoshop and change the size to 8.5x11 - that basically just squished the proportions - then I printed it out and measured. Great tip for us 8.5x11 scrappers!"  Here is Celeste's adorable layout:
