Guest Designer for Sketch 40 !!!

Our Guest Designer for Sketch 40 is an Aussie gal and a member of Inspired Blueprints !! We are pleased to introduce Belinda Spencer as our second Guest Desinger for 2010 !! Her works are gorgeous as is her take on sketch 40 !! Here is a peek into Belinda's background ...

Hi. My name is Belinda. I am happily married to Brenton and SAHM to Hayley, 4 and William, 3. I started scrapbooking in 2001 but didn’t become totally obsessed until the birth of my daughter in 2005. It is my ‘therapy’ when the kids drive me crazy. 

My love of arts and crafts began as a 5 year old inspired and encouraged by my nana. I have had layouts published in Scrapbook Creations and Scrapbooking Memories magazines. Currently, I am enjoying teaching and being on the Inspiration Team at Abundantia’s Gold, SA. I also get a thrill from colour and sketch challenges on various websites. 

I find that my style is ever changing and differs according to subject or product. I usually include layering, texture, flowers, lace and decorative edges. I love shabby chic with a little vintage creeping in. My favourite ‘thing’ at the moment is border punches. The one tool I could not possibly live without is my craft knife. 

My inspiration usually comes from photos of my kids but also from products and nature, other scrappers I admire and sometimes even from my kids’ clothing. Most of all I love to be challenged to use a specific product, colour scheme or theme. 

I really hope that in years to come my children will look back at their albums and know how much I truly love them.

Guest Designer for Sketch 39

We are so excited to make our Guest Designer announcement !! Our first designer for "Twenty-Ten" is also our first guest card designer !!!! Please welcome the super talented Betsy Veldman. Her blog is loaded with projects, cards, tags and excellent photography of her children, so please check it out !! Here is a peek into Betsy's life and her GORGEOUS cards !!!

My name is Betsy Veldman.  I love paper crafts of all kinds, from scrapbooking to card-making and everything in between.  Patterned paper and stamps are my two biggest paper crafting loves. Oh, and I can't forget about my Cricut - I couldn't craft without it!  I am excited to be one of the  Go-to Gals for Paper Crafts magazine, as well as a designer for Papertrey Ink and Provo Craft.  Besides my crafting, I am kept busy with my family.  My husband and I have three children and we live in a small town in Iowa.  I am honored to be your guest here at Inspired Blueprints!  Sketches are a sure way to get my creative juices flowing.

Design Team Update !!

We wanted to give you all a quick update on the current Design Team. The original term for the team was July - December 2009  .....  we have decided to extend the term to April 2010 !! The current team has happily agreed to stay on - thank you ladies !! Kathleen Glossop has decided to step down as of December 2009. We want to thank Kathleen for all her incredibly artistic creations - she has definitely inspired all of us !! Please visit her blog to see all her amazing projects and we all wish her the very best !!!

Happy New Year to Everyone !! Hope you all had a safe and fun New Year ... Welcome 2010 !!

With each new year comes changes and improvements and we know you'll love what we have in store for the new year. You'll be seeing more frequent posts where we will highlight our generous sponsors and our talented guest designers separately. We are SUPER excited to announce the latest addition to the sketch family ......  drumroll please ...... Introducing ....  Card Sketches !! Our card sketches will be scaled down versions of the monthly sketch to simplify creating cards. The first card sketch and samples will be spotlighted separately in the next few days ! We hope the card enthusiasts will enjoy these modified sketches and we look forward to seeing your creations in the gallery.

Our first sketch for 2010 is Sketch 39 !! We had a blast with this one and the possibilities are endless ... as you will see !! We will feature half of the design teams creations today and the remaining in a future post as we have done in the past.
