Meet Our Guest Designer for Sketch #44...

Please welcome our Guest Designer for sketch #44...the awesomely talented Michelle Lanning!!! Her work is fun, whimsical and full of inspiration. Michelle's work has been published in Scrapbook Trends Magazine and she currently designs for many kit clubs and manufacturers, including Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker and Bella Blvd.

Here is a little bit about Michelle and her interpretation of Sketch #45!

Hi there! My name is Michelle Lanning and I am a mommy to a fabulous 5 year old. I started scrapbooking like almost everyone else, after the birth of my daughter. It has been a wonderful way to be creative and capture those precious memories. I tend to find time to scrap in the late evenings when the house is quiet, but also have recently been able to scrap with my daughter. She has caught the 'bug' and it is so fun watch her create. I am so thrilled to be a part of Inspired Blueprints sketch this month! It was a blast and hope to do it again!

Hello Everyone !! Glad to see you are having fun with Sketch #43 !! The gallery looks awesome with all your creations !! We haven't offered a two-page sketch in awhile so we decided to double your fun with Sketch #44 !! This two page sketch allows room for multiple photos which can really tell a story !! Design Team Call

Are you passionate about scrapping? Do you love using sketches? We'd love to have you on our team! Inspired Blueprints is an awesome sketch inspiration blog and we're looking to add to our team of talented designers. The period of commitment is from May 2010 through October 2010, with the possibility of extension.

We are looking for:

• Five 12x12 layout designers
• Two 8.5x11 layout designers
• One digital layout designer
• Two card designers

The Responsibilities:

• Create one layout every two weeks based on the sketch provided. Card designers are required to submit two cards for every sketch provided. On average, we have two new sketches every month.
• Meet deadlines for submitting layouts.
• Participate ACTIVELY and REGULARLY in our online community by giving positive comments on layouts and welcoming new members.
• You will also have the opportunity to provide prototype layouts for new sketches, however this is not an essential requirement.

The Perks:

• The opportunity to be part of our inspiring and growing sketch blog and community.
• There is no designer remuneration but you may get to work with sponsor products from time to time. 

Please note:

• If successful, we ask that you will not design for, or apply to be on, any other sketch blog during your term with Inspired Blueprints.

Meet our Guest Designer for sketch # 43!!!

Please give a big IB welcome to our guest designer for sketch #43 the super talented Danielle Flanders!  You have seen her beautiful work in all the major scrapbook/paper crafting magazines and she designs for many of the top scrapbooking manufacturers including: Pink Paislee, Melissa Frances, Jenni Bowlin Studios and Tattered Angels!!!

We are so thrilled to have her here at IB this month and we hope you are inspired by her work as much as we are!!!

Here is a little bit about Danielle...

Hi! I'm Danielle Flanders and I currently live in upstate N.Y. near Saratoga Springs with my hubby of 10 years. We have 2 pretty girls, Taylor is 10 and Kati is 4! I am lucky enough to stay at home with them now. Previously, I worked as an elementary teacher for K-2 grades (in one room together) on the Indian Reservation in South Dakota. That was the most interesting job I've held, well besides being a mom, of course! Never a dull moment! I've been scrapbooking for 10 years and started when Taylor was born to create a baby book for her. I love every minute of creating and usually stay up late at night to scrap when it's nice and quiet. Thanks so much for having me here today!

 

I was inspired by the curve on the left of the sketch and found this Jenni Bowlin paper in my stash that had the brown sides on it like that already. I wanted to print out all of the different things my daughter likes to play now at this age, but don't have a 12x12" printer. So I printed them out on an 8.5 x 11" page of vellum and layered it over the center of my page. I repeated the text, because I couldn't think of enough things to fill the whole page. The repeated text was great, because then I didn't have to feel bad covering any of it up with my photos. I added 3 stars cut out from patterned paper to represent the journaling strips, since I already had my journaling in the background.

Hello March !!

Welcome March !! Many of us in the States are sooo happy to welcome this month as the winter season is "gettin' old !!" Enough snow, slush, shoveling, plowing etc !! The season is great for photos though ... snowpeople, sledding, and gorgeous scenery !! So now that you have all these great winter photos wouldn't it be great to have an inspiring sketch to help you scrap ?! Well here's one that you're going to LOVE !! Sketch 43 is perfect for 3 photos and the scalloped-shaped element is so fun !! Feel free to change the sketch up and make it your own !!
