Another layout from our April Guest Designer!!!

If you missed the last layout from our April Guest Designer Susan Longman, we have another wonderful creation from her! She took on Sketch #70 and it is a "chilly" one!!! :))

Gorgeous pinks and reds against the kraft card stock is AWESOME!!! The touches of blue are perfect for a winter layout and finish it off nicely.

Meet our Guest Designer for April...

Ms. Susan Longman!!! We are changing thing up a bit here at Inspired Blueprints we will be showcasing ONE guest designer each month. But with ONE designer will come TWO sketches!!! And this month, Susan kicks us off! We are THRILLED to have this Aussie Mom here at IB! Take a look at Susan's first creation and find out a little bit about this talent lady!

I am Susan Longman a stay at home mum of 2 gorgeous kids (I know we all say that but mine really, truly are J) Ashton my son is 6 &1/2 and Eve my daughter is 5. They are the topic of my pages and the reason I started scrapbooking. I am fortunate to have man in my life that is very supportive of my hobby and does not bat an eyelid at the cost of the products I buy. My style is very symmetry and centred with an element of grunge to them…I like a balanced page and I am a huge fan of technique scrapping. My favourite technique is stamping and cutwork…anything handmade is very appealing to me. I have to admit I am not bothered about having to have the latest and greatest product on my pages (although I would be lying if I said I didn’t love new stash) I am happy to use my scrapbooking supplies from years ago. As long as the items coordinate with the page elements and suit the style of page I am creating it will make it onto my layout. I love the online scrapbooking world and design for 2 Crafty Chipboard Products (www.2crafty.com.au). I am a real sucker for a good challenge…my favourite of which is sketches…so I was thrilled to be asked by IB to be their guest designer for April and had a ball creating these layout from the sketch.

IB DT | Margy Eastman

My name is Margy Eastman and I live near Fairbanks, Alaska with my husband, little boy, three dogs and two cats. By day I'm a veterinarian, and by night I'm Mommy. I started scrapping four years ago after my son was born. Back in the day when I had a dedicated space and no sticky fingers to deter, I was a quilter. I've loved the shift to scrapbooking - patterned paper brings me the same joy a good fabric did! I tease my husband that, when he bought me my first Nikon SLR, he created a monster. Now no one is safe from my lens - people nor pets. I'm so excited to be in the Inspired Blueprints design team. I love working from sketches, and these are just the best!

Hi everyone, my name is Hayley and I am mum to my two scrapbooking inspirations, Isabelle and Nate. (every now and then I sneak my hubby in a layout, but not very often!lol)

I started scrapbooking about 5 years ago and have been hooked ever since. I love working with sketches and have been using Inspired Blueprints sketches for years so when I made it onto the DT team, let’s say I was very excited!

I love using lots of layers on my layouts as well as embellishments , twine and definitely ink! I also love to do alot of fussy cutting and every now and then I try and have a go at different styles.

I am looking forward to my time at Inspired Blueprints and the great sketches!

IB DT | Jill Dinkel

Hi! My name is Jill Dinkel, and I am excited to be a new member of the the Inspired Blueprints team.  As the bumper sticker says, I am Texan by birth, and an Aggie by the grace of God.  I am a former teacher turned stay-at-home mom.  I have three kids, two boys and a sassy two-year-old girl who keep me busy.  I am obsessively neat, love movies, and spend a good portion of my free time scrapbooking after the kiddos go to bed.  I started in the summer of 2003, when I was pregnant with my first son.  In the last six months, I have spent less time scrapbooking traditionally and more doing it the digital way... I love the convenience!  I almost always start my layouts from a sketch or template, so I look forward to what I will be creating with Inspired Blueprints in the months to come.

Hi everyone, I’m Diane Payne and I reside in Texas with my wonderful husband of 21 years and our two teenage children. I started scrapbooking after our second child was born. Although I love preserving the details of our life, I enjoy the creative process of scrapbooking as much as the memory keeping. I like incorporating unique things into my projects and frequently go to local flea markets in search of the perfect vintage item that I can incorporate into a layout or my home decor. I’m thrilled to be a part of the Inspired Blueprints team and look forward to sharing ideas with you.

IB DT | Renee Iveson

My name is Renee Iveson and I live in beautiful sunny Brisbane. I have been married to my high school sweet heart, Tim, for nearly 10 years and together we have 3 lil' ones, Viola 7.5, Charlotte 4.5 and Walter 1.5.

My husband Tim is studying fine arts at university and so he makes art, and I scrap. It works well for us and I wouldn't have it any other way!! When I'm not scrapping you can find me involved in my local church - C3 Indooroopilly!

I think I was born a crafter and have been scrapbooking (in a form) since I was a little girl. I love this art form so very much and use it as a "therapy" time for myself. Through scrapbooking I have made awesome friendships and had amazing opportunities, including having my layout featured on the cover of Scrapbook Creations last June. I share a blog together with my BFF - Gilly Lester, who is the most amazing woman and whose work constantly inspires me! I believe that scrapbooking is more than just a craft, its a way for women of all backgrounds and ages to come together and share their memories, trials, beliefs, joy and above all express their God given creativity!!

I am very excited and thankful to be joining the Inspired Blueprints team and can't wait to let the creativity fly!!

My name is Helen Tilbury & I live in Durban, South Africa with my wonderful & tolerant husband Shane & our 4 precious children aged 17, 16, 13 & 10, plus 3 over-indulged fur babies (cats!).

I am a work-at-home mum & a fashion designer by profession. I have enjoyed an enduring affair with pretty paper & embellishments for 7 years now & can't imagine a life without the smell of new papers & the anticipation of my next delivery of scrapbooking goodies in the mail! I don't believe in labelling my style as I design to suit the mood & subject of my pages but I endeavour to always push my creative limits & constantly grow with my craft.

I am excited to become part of the Inspired Blueprints team & can’t wait to get to know you all better & hope to inspire & be inspired by you all as well!

Hi, I’m Kerryn! I live in sunny... soggy.. well these days it’s hard to know, but I come from the land down under. South Australia to be exact. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for over 10 years and we have 2 gorgeous kids, a son who is almost 6 and a daughter who is almost 8. My poor long suffering husband is the reason I caught the scrapbooking bug. He bought me a scrapbooking kit as a birthday present about 4 years ago so that I could record memories of our first family holiday. Little did he know the chain reaction that would come as a result of that innocent birthday gift.

I do love recording moments and memories but really, for me, scrapbooking is just about being creative. I love the process of bringing photos, paper and embellishments together to celebrate a special memory or showcase a special photo.  While I don’t have as much time for scrapbooking as I used to, I still make time every day for this wonderful hobby of mine.

IB DT | Frances Sylvia

Hello my name is Frances Sylvia and I am from Many, Louisiana. I am a spoiled wife, mother of 4 (all under 9 years old…shew!), Junior High Remediation teacher, and a totally addicted scrapbooker. My greatest inspiration comes from my family and friends in the photos, but I am also inspired by sketches, patterned paper, and what product I am currently swooning over.


My style has evolved like most, but I usually create whimsical layouts with clean lines.  There are a few elements I can not leave off a layout these days, such as, hand stitching, doodling, threaded buttons, and layering. Since my time is mostly devoted to being a wife and mother, I believe that scrapbooking should be FUN!! There is no greater pleasure for me than to enjoy my family, put the kids to bed, and relive the memories that we created once again.

Introducing, the Inspired Blueprints design team...

We recently held a design team call for Inspired Blueprints and we were absolutely humbled by the huge response. Choosing our new dt members was a very difficult decision and the work shared with us was truely inspiring. Thank you everyone who applied. If you weren't successful this time around, we encourage you to try again for our next design team call.
