Changes at Inspired Blueprints...

Inspired Blueprints will be back with a brand new sketch
on Saturday 16 July 2011!

We're so thrilled to be sharing the sketch inspiration again, and we know you'll love Sketch #76.

Sketches will now be released each Saturday! No longer do you have to check the diary...if its a Saturday, there'll be a sketch available. Perfect timing for weekend scrapbooking.

Inspired Blueprints has now changed timezones, and is working on Sydney, Australia time. Please check the clock on the sidebar to see what time it is.

We've also had a few changes to our team, and its with a heavy heart that I let you know that Lynn, Jennifer and Ann-Marie have decided to step down. These incredibly talented girls have been an integral part of Inspired Blueprints and we will miss them deeply. Thank you so much for all of the help you have given to me, the IB team and our community over the years. We wish you all the very best for your future scrappy pursuits.

Hi, I’m Sarah. I live in the sunny (most of the time) state of California. Gorgeous pinks and reds against the kraft card stock is AWESOME!!! The touches of blue are perfect for a winter layout and finish it off nicely.

Meet our Guest Designer for April...

Ms. Susan Longman!!! We are changing thing up a bit here at Inspired Blueprints we will be showcasing ONE guest designer each month. But with ONE designer will come TWO sketches!!! And this month, Susan kicks us off! We are THRILLED to have this Aussie Mom here at IB! Take a look at Susan's first creation and find out a little bit about this talent lady!

I am Susan Longman a stay at home mum of 2 gorgeous kids (I know we all say that but mine really, truly are J) Ashton my son is 6 &1/2 and Eve my daughter is 5. They are the topic of my pages and the reason I started scrapbooking. I am fortunate to have man in my life that is very supportive of my hobby and does not bat an eyelid at the cost of the products I buy. My style is very symmetry and centred with an element of grunge to them…I like a balanced page and I am a huge fan of technique scrapping. My favourite technique is stamping and cutwork…anything handmade is very appealing to me. I have to admit I am not bothered about having to have the latest and greatest product on my pages (although I would be lying if I said I didn’t love new stash) I am happy to use my scrapbooking supplies from years ago. As long as the items coordinate with the page elements and suit the style of page I am creating it will make it onto my layout. I love the online scrapbooking world and design for 2 Crafty Chipboard Products (www.2crafty.com.au). I am a real sucker for a good challenge…my favourite of which is sketches…so I was thrilled to be asked by IB to be their guest designer for April and had a ball creating these layout from the sketch.

My name is Margy Eastman and I live near Fairbanks, Alaska with my husband, little boy, three dogs and two cats. By day I'm a veterinarian, and by night I'm Mommy. I started scrapping four years ago after my son was born. Back in the day when I had a dedicated space and no sticky fingers to deter, I was a quilter. I've loved the shift to scrapbooking - patterned paper brings me the same joy a good fabric did! I tease my husband that, when he bought me my first Nikon SLR, he created a monster. Now no one is safe from my lens - people nor pets. I'm so excited to be in the Inspired Blueprints design team. I love working from sketches, and these are just the best!

Hi everyone, my name is Hayley and I am mum to my two scrapbooking inspirations, Isabelle and Nate. (every now and then I sneak my hubby in a layout, but not very often!lol)

I started scrapbooking about 5 years ago and have been hooked ever since. I love working with sketches and have been using Inspired Blueprints sketches for years so when I made it onto the DT team, let’s say I was very excited!

I love using lots of layers on my layouts as well as embellishments , twine and definitely ink! I also love to do alot of fussy cutting and every now and then I try and have a go at different styles.

I am looking forward to my time at Inspired Blueprints and the great sketches!

Hi! My name is Jill Dinkel, and I am excited to be a new member of the the Inspired Blueprints team. As the bumper sticker says, I am Texan by birth, and an Aggie by the grace of God. I am a former teacher turned stay-at-home mom. I have three kids, two boys and a sassy two-year-old girl who keep me busy. I am obsessively neat, love movies, and spend a good portion of my free time scrapbooking after the kiddos go to bed. I started in the summer of 2003, when I was pregnant with my first son. In the last six months, I have spent less time scrapbooking traditionally and more doing it the digital way... I love the convenience! I almost always start my layouts from a sketch or template, so I look forward to what I will be creating with Inspired Blueprints in the months to come.

My name is Renee Iveson and I live in beautiful sunny Brisbane. I have been married to my high school sweet heart, Tim, for nearly 10 years and together we have 3 lil' ones, Viola 7.5, Charlotte 4.5 and Walter 1.5.

My husband Tim is studying fine arts at university and so he makes art, and I scrap. It works well for us and I wouldn't have it any other way!! When I'm not scrapping you can find me involved in my local church - C3 Indooroopilly!

I think I was born a crafter and have been scrapbooking (in a form) since I was a little girl. I love this art form so very much and use it as a "therapy" time for myself. Through scrapbooking I have made awesome friendships and had amazing opportunities, including having my layout featured on the cover of Scrapbook Creations last June. I share a blog together with my BFF - Gilly Lester, who is the most amazing woman and whose work constantly inspires me! I believe that scrapbooking is more than just a craft, its a way for women of all backgrounds and ages to come together and share their memories, trials, beliefs, joy and above all express their God given creativity!!

I am very excited and thankful to be joining the Inspired Blueprints team and can't wait to let the creativity fly!!

I am a work-at-home mum & a fashion designer by profession. I have enjoyed an enduring affair with pretty paper & embellishments for 7 years now & can't imagine a life without the smell of new papers & the anticipation of my next delivery of scrapbooking goodies in the mail! I don't believe in labelling my style as I design to suit the mood & subject of my pages but I endeavour to always push my creative limits & constantly grow with my craft.

Hi, I’m Kerryn! I live in sunny... soggy.. well these days it’s hard to know, but I come from the land down under. South Australia to be exact. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for over 10 years and we have 2 gorgeous kids, a son who is almost 6 and a daughter who is almost 8. My poor long suffering husband is the reason I caught the scrapbooking bug. He bought me a scrapbooking kit as a birthday present about 4 years ago so that I could record memories of our first family holiday. Little did he know the chain reaction that would come as a result of that innocent birthday gift.

I do love recording moments and memories but really, for me, scrapbooking is just about being creative. I love the process of bringing photos, paper and embellishments together to celebrate a special memory or showcase a special photo. While I don’t have as much time for scrapbooking as I used to, I still make time every day for this wonderful hobby of mine.

Hello my name is Frances Sylvia and I am from Many, Louisiana. I am a spoiled wife, mother of 4 (all under 9 years old…shew!), Junior High Remediation teacher, and a totally addicted scrapbooker. My greatest inspiration comes from my family and friends in the photos, but I am also inspired by sketches, patterned paper, and what product I am currently swooning over.

My style has evolved like most, but I usually create whimsical layouts with clean lines. There are a few elements I can not leave off a layout these days, such as, hand stitching, doodling, threaded buttons, and layering. Since my time is mostly devoted to being a wife and mother, I believe that scrapbooking should be FUN!! There is no greater pleasure for me than to enjoy my family, put the kids to bed, and relive the memories that we created once again.

Hello, I am Joscelyne Cutchens and am also known online as Joscie, which coincidentally rhymes with bossy. I have been crafty for most of my life. I love to try new things and have dabbled in creating hand made papers, sewing, screen printing, book binding and beading but my true passion is in photography, computers and paper crafts. My husband Troy and I have just celebrated our 15^th anniversary and we have two sons Jalen (10) and Jordan (5). We live in Honolulu, HI.

Online, I’ve been featured as a guest designer for the Making Memories Blog, and has been highlighted at ClubCreatingKeepsakes and GalleryStandouts.com. My creations have been featured in online magazines Scrapbook Dimensions, Digital Artist Magazine, Scrapstreet.com and Scrapbooking.com. I have also been published in Creating Keepsakes Magazine, Memory Makers Magazine, Simply Handmade, Scrapbook Trends Magazine, Scrapbook Trends: For the Home and Scrapbook Inspirations (UK). I also have two publications coming up this summer in Scrapbooks, ETC. and Paper Crafts.

Hi, my name is Mimi Leinbach and I am 39 years old. Yikes! I am a SAHM to 2 soccer loving boys Nick(13) and Jack(9) and when I am not scrapping I can be sure to be found at a soccer game or helping out at school. I have been married to Josh for over 16 years. He has given me the freedom to indulge myself in this hobby and I just adore him for it. You could say I am obsessed, completely and totally. I have been scrapping for 13+ years now and I would say my style is ever changing. I like to try every technique at least once and some a lot more. I have a passion for patterned paper, to which I just can't seem to get enough. I have been published many times in Creating Keepsakes, Memory Makers Magazine and Books, Scrapbook Etc., Scrapbook Trends, Simply Handmade, Creates Idea Books as well as Scrapbooking and Beyond magazine. I love designing and am proud to have designed for many manufactures and kit clubs. I just love Inspired Blueprints and am honored to be one of their guest designers this month.

Are you passionate about scrapping? Do you love using sketches? We'd love to have you on our team! Inspired Blueprints is an awesome sketch inspiration blog and we're looking to add to our team of talented designers.

The period of commitment is from April 2011 through September 2011, with the possibility of extension.

We are looking for:

Five 12x12 layout designers
Two 8.5x11 layout designers
Two digital layout designers

The Responsibilities:

Create one layout every two weeks based on the sketch provided. On average, we have two new sketches every month.
Meet deadlines for submitting layouts.
Participate ACTIVELY and REGULARLY in our online community by giving positive comments on layouts and welcoming new members.
You will also have the opportunity to provide prototype layouts for new sketches, however this is not an essential requirement.

The Perks:

The opportunity to be part of our inspiring and growing sketch blog and community.
There is no designer remuneration but you may get to work with sponsor products from time to time.

Please note:

If successful, we ask that you will not design for, or apply to be on, any other sketch blog during your term with Inspired Blueprints.

Hi!
My name is Malin Dahlstrom and i am from Sweden where i live together with my family.
I started scrap booking in 2005 just shortly after we have had our first child, when she was born i wanted to be able to document all those precious moments, events, things in our life's that i wanted her to know when she grew up and now she is 5½ and her albums needs a shelf of its own! We are expecting baby number two in April and I can't wait to scrap cute baby pics again.
I love this hobby and it has become so much more then a hobby for me, it is a lifestyle!
Sometimes I even plan layouts in my head when I'm going to bed and I keep a sketchbook next to my bed so I can write my ideas down at any moment.
My style is best described as feminine. I love girly things, flowers, lace vintage items, bright colors, hand cutting details from papers and just get lost in the world of creativity!
I was so happy to be asked to guest design here at Inspired Blueprints I love creating from sketches, making the sketch my own and adding feminine touches to it.

Ms. Lynn Ghahary!!! We are so honored to have Lynn here this month at Inspired Blueprints. Her work impeccable and her attention to detail is right on. I was blown away by her take on Sketch #65 and I think you will be too!!!

Here is a little more about Lynn and her take on Sketch #65...

My name is Lynn Ghahary and I live in New Jersey with my husband and high school sweetheart Salar and our two wild and crazy boys, Darian and Brandon. I was first introduced to the wonderful world of scrapbooking way back in 2000. As a young girl I had always loved to be artsy and creative so this hobby was right up my alley and I was hooked immediately!

I took a break from scrapbooking in 2004 when my first son was born and didn't really come back to the hobby until 2008. Now that I'm back I am here to stay and have been completely in awe at how far this amazing craft has come since we first "met" nearly 10 years ago. Scrapbooking is my creative outlet - it lets me get in touch with who I am all while preserving our most cherished family photos and memories.

Not only do I love to scrapbook but I love to create paper crafts of all kinds including cards, mini albums, and altered projects. I am lucky enough to have had my work published in several magazines including Creating Keepsakes, CARDS, Paper Crafts, Scrapbooks ETC, Scrapbook Trends, and Scrapbook & Cards Today.

In addition to scrapbooking I am also an avid gardener, bookworm, and wannabe photographer. I am also a self-professed reality TV show junkie and organzing diva.

Hello there! My name is Mandy Starner, you can just call me Mk. I live in Maryland with my incredibly handsome and supportive husband, our 3 beautiful daughters, and our 2 crazy dogs. On any given evening you can find me at my desk, digging through paper and stickers, chatting with friends and making pretty things. I love to read, paint, paper craft, and sew. Hello! I’m Diane Payne and I reside in Texas with my husband and our two teenage children. When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my family. I started scrapbooking shortly after my second child was born. I like making layouts in a variety of sizes but most often scrap 8 ½ x 11 or 12 x 12 layouts. I also enjoy crafting altered items, journals, cards and handmade home décor. I’ve had a number of layouts published in Scrapbook Trends and Creating Keepsakes magazine and am a Creative Team member for Paper Issues. Hi there! I'm Laura Vegas, from Northern California, where I live with my husband and my two gorgeous daughters (ages 11 & 14). I have been scrapbooking for over 15 years now. I started right before my first daughter was born, and have not slowed down since. I scrapbook mostly about my girls and our family, but like to mix it up now and then, by scrapping photos and stories about my daycare kids and family friends as well. It is CK DREAM TEAM Month here are Inspired Blueprints and we are sooooo excited to have the super-talented Wendy Sue Anderson kicking off the first sketch of December! Here is a little bit about Wendy and her take on Sketch #61...

Hi there! My Name is Wendy Sue and I am so excited to be joining all of you here at IB! I live in a beautiful snow-covered mountain valley in Utah with my sweet husband, Brad, and our four beautiful children – Meagan, Josh, Seth, and Zach. I have been paper-crafting since I was a little girl. My mom always encouraged us to make our own handmade cards and she always kept a scrapbook for us when we were little. One of my favorite high school graduation gifts was a scrapbook – I’ve pretty much scrapbooked my whole life! I have been fortunate to work with some of my very favorite manufacturers over the years, and I am so grateful for each and every opportunity I’ve been given. I’ve had several projects published in various magazines, including Creating Keepsakes, Paper Crafts, Simple Scrapbooks, Scrapbook Trends, and Cards. I am passionate about journaling and recording my thoughts and feelings in addition to the “who, what, when, and where.” I take time pretty much every day to do something creative – it makes me happy…and you know what they say about mama being happy!

Ms. Charity Hassel!!! Help us give a warm IB welcome to this super-talented scrapper! Here is a little bit about Charity and her take on Sketch #60!

Hi! My name is Charity. I am in my mid-30s. I've been married to my husband, Brian for almost 8 years. We have to darling children- Alexander 5yrs and Audrey 3yrs. I am a full-time stay at home mom and a part-time RN (only one day a week). Most days you can find me cleaning house, playing with the kids, and scrapping. Non-paper addictions include chocolate covered popcorn, musicals and spending time with my family. I began scrapbooking about 7-8 years ago but became seriously addicted about 6 years ago. I also love cardmaking and other paper crafts. My style varies somewhat depending on the photo, my mood or the products I work with. Finding new ways to use product is always a fun challenge for me. I hope to encourage and inspire those around me to enjoy creating, capture their memories and have fun!

The lovely and talented Ria Mojica from the Philippines!!! She is one talented and busy scrapper! We are so thrilled she is here at Inspired Blueprints to kick off the month of November!!!

Here is a little bit about Ria and her take on Sketch #59!

I'm Ria Mojica from Manila, Philippines. I've been happily married to Buddy for almost 11 years, and have been a stay-at-home mom to 3 kids (Luis - 10, Nadya - 8, Bianca - 5) since mid-2002.  I discovered scrapbooking in 2003 and have been hooked ever since. Aside from being CEO of my household, I am also a cake decorator, a freelance writer and a Facebook addict! I am privileged to be on the design teams for Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker and Pebbles, Inc.

I was thrilled when Jennifer asked me to guest on Inspired Blueprints because I always enjoy working with sketches and seeing where it takes me.

Here is a little bit about Deana and her take on Sketch #58...

Hi, I’m Deana Boston & I’m so excited and honored to be guest designing for Inspired Blueprints! I started scrapbooking about 15 years ago when I attended a Creative Memories party. Thankfully my style has changed quite a bit since then, but I still have a love for multi-photo layouts with LOTS of journaling! I really do think journaling is the most important part of the page. I also love to make cards! I have the honor of designing for Nikki Sivils, SRM Stickers & Hip 2B Square kit club, as well as for the challenge blog These Are A Few of My Favorite Things.

My work has been published in Scrapbook Trends, Cards, Entre Artistes & Scrapbook Inspirations. I’m excited to say that I’ll finally be in Creating Keepsakes in January & February after trying over & over again. Never give up! When I’m not creating, I love to work-out daily & have run two half marathons, I love fashion, travelling the world, music, interior design, volunteering at school, dark chocolate & a really good glass of wine. But my favorite thing in the whole world is being a mom to Bryn & a wife to Bob. My life is full of love & laughter because they are in it… I feel very lucky!

Give a warm IB welcome to the adorable Jillian Cassity!!! She has such a fun and whimsical style and we are so happy to have her here to kick off October!

Here is a little bit about Jillian...

My name is Jillian but call me Jill for short. I'm 25 years old and just moved to Oklahoma a couple of years ago. I LOVE living here and getting to be a stay at home mom- I adore that I get to devote most of my time to my son and my hobbies. I live with my husband, John and our 4 year old son, Alex. I love them a ton. You'll find that they are almost always my main scrapping subjects.

I am a girly-girl in most ways but I also have a weird and goofy sense of humor. :) I love people who make me laugh! I'm a pretty happy person almost all of the time, I always try to look at the positive side of things.
I have had a love for arts and crafts for as long as I can remember. My parents always encouraged my creativity and I owe much of my love for art to them. Scrapbooking is my number one favorite hobby but I also love sewing, crocheting and decorating my home as well.

Playing catchup...announcements and winners...

So much has been happening here at Inspired Blueprints and in other areas that we missed a few important announcements!

Firstly, design team members Christy Davis and Wendy McKee have decided to step down from the team. Christy was one of the founding members of Inspired Blueprints and without her, IB wouldn't be the place it is today. In fact, the first ever sketch created for IB was based on this gorgeous layout by Christy. The team would like to extended a big thank you to to both Christy and Wendy for all of the inspiration they have provided us and our members during their time with IB. We wish them every success for wherever their paths take them in the future! mwah.

Secondly, our current design team has had their term extended until the end of March 2011! You can look forward to seeing some absolutely gorgeous creations by the team in the near future.

I spend my days as the secretary of our family business & doing on-location photography on the weekends. I have a crazy addiction to letter stickers & patterned paper. I am the most creative late in the evening after the kiddos are all asleep & usually have to make myself go to bed once the creative bug hits. I love to record the everyday moments & am striving to focus more on my journaling.
I currently design for Xyron, GCD Studios, Shabby Chic Crafts, The Story Matters kit club, & my LSS Scrapaganza.
